Memories Planter

This project combines a planter for a succulent with an NFC tag that links to a website with pictures of special memories.

The whole idea was born out of brainstorming what I could do with these NFC tags I had obtained. Once I had a plan, I was able to go to my Grandpa's woodshop and pick out a suitable log. Next, I used a drill press to bore out the hole for the planter. Finally, I sanded the top and bottom surface to a sheen and applied linseed oil to protect the raw wood grain. Next, I applied the NFC sticker to the planter and programmed it to open a URL to the website I designed. Finally, I picked out a beautiful succulent and potted it in the planter.
